Bratislava, Slovakia, 25 - 26. June 2009 –To establish a dialogue between the new EU member states as donors and the countries that receive development assistance, primarily in the area of substantial reforms. This is the aim of two-day international conference ,,Sharing the experience from transition process between the new EU member states, Balkan countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States ”, hosted today by the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Government of the Slovak Republic approved on 20 May 2009 the text of theThe National Development Assistance Programme for 2009. Document is a programming document that, for a particular year specifies: sectoral and territorial priorities for the official development assistance programme of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as Slovak Aid) priority countries defined in the Medium-Term Strategy; funds budgeted for individual types and forms of Slovak development assistance; tasks arising under the Medium-Term Strategy; indicators to measure results; and identifies new challenges and their possible solutions.

The International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Economy for the Reconstruction of Gaza will be held on 2 March 2009 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, where Slovakia will be represented by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mrs Oľga Algayerová.
